Tips on HOW to Efficiently Cook with your Solar Oven!
Cooking:
Place your food - chicken or veggies for example - in a dark container to absorb the Sun's solar energy and cook your chicken or veggies for as long as you like. You can spice all you want, including pepper, garlic, lemon pepper, soy sauce for example.
The chicken will be mouth-watering tender if you leave it in the solar oven for a long time while you shop, clean house, workout, watch TV, whatever...you don't have to worry about turning off the stove...no electicity...no gas.....just the energy from the SUN!
Fish is awesome - the flavor and nutritions of food do not go up in smoke as they do when you cook in the kitchen. No water is needed; however, some water or spice such as soy sauce is fine.
Boil eggs - I use some water in a black container to boil eggs...probaby 1 to 1 1/2 hours on a sunny day is fine....but if you leave the eggs in the solar oven for several hours, the eggs will be fine...not burned.
Heating:
To heat food simply use any kitchen dish (that won't melt) without a lid and let the sun heat your food rather than cook it. Dark containers with lids will cook your food...but not burn.
Heating food already cooked in the solar oven is great - keep the flavor and nutrition.
Instant Gratification (FAST cooking/heating)
The solar oven is not for instant gratification. To instantly heat a cup of
coffee or a cup of soup you will revert to the microwave or stove.
